While summer scalds the sidewalks, and residents race for the beaches or air-conditioned spaces, the legendary Armory Show prepares for its unveiling Sept. 5 – 7. This year’s layout and concept will be refreshed under the leadership of Director Kyla McMillan. Large in scope- 230 galleries represented from 35 countries, and framed by several concepts: Focus–curated by Jessica Bell Brown, highlights mid-career artists from the South; Solo–offers single artist presentations which will intersect with the Galleries, leading international exhibitors. Presents looks towards galleries under ten years old devoted to recent works by solo and dual artst presentations.

 The Armory Show announced: Eric Crosby, Henry J. Heinz II Director, Carnegie Museum of Art & Vice President, Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, will chair the eighth annual Curatorial Leadership Summit which will examine practical ways in which curators and gallerists can navigate the current landscape, centering on questions of curatorial commitment and artistic possibility today. 

All are eager for the fall and stroll through the visual wealth produced by American and International artists.
