This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Martha Hill Dance Fund, an organization that honors the contributions of the legenday educator Martha Hill. To honor her work, the Fund celebrates artists who exemplify Hill’s vision, dedication and love of all things dance. This year’s Martha Hill Lifetime Achievement Awards go to: Janet Eilber, Director of the Martha Graham Dance Company; Mercedes Ellingont, educator, director and dancer; and Lar Lubovitch, founder/director of the Lar Lubovitch Company, and Mid-Career Award goes to LInda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Director of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.
The 2025 Martha Hill Awards Gala will be hosted by Nigel Campbell.
The Fund’s the Fund’s president, Vernon Scott stated “The lasting impact of Miss Hill’s life’s work, the renowned dance programs at Juilliard, New York University, and Bennington College, stand as testament to her continued influence in the field of dance education.
The Martha Hill Dance Fund ensures access to Hill’s work through published materials, film, digital archives, and other projects established in her name.
