In celebration of life of the great guitarist Russell Malone, Jazz at Lincoln Center honors his contributions with a musical tribute featuring some of jazz’s premiere artists: Ron Carter, Kenny Barron, Diana Krall, Christian McBride, Tammy McCann, Monty Alexander Trio, John Clayton, Benny Green, Ben Wolfe, Donald Vega, Ed Cherry, Dave Stryker, Yatam Silberstein, Willie Jones III, Rick Germanson, Vincent DuPont, Neal Smith and T,K. Blue.
Malone, who was known for “a distinctive style that was precise and spare but at the same time warm and luscious” (New York Times), will take place in the Appel Room as part of the 2025 Jazz Congress conference.
This celebration is open to 2025 Jazz Congress attendees on a first come first serve basis and runs in tandem with the APAP conference.
Jazz Congress features more than twenty workshops, sessions, and networking opportunities designed to bring together members of the global jazz community and nurture the bond between artists, media professionals, and industry leaders.
